These tacos are a staple at our house. They are super easy to make and very flavorful. The cilantro lime crema makes the whole dish though, so don’t skip it!
Fish Tacos with Cilantro Lime Crema

Ingredients
- Crema:
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced
- 4 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise (check gf)
- 3 Tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp grated lime rind
- 1-2 tsp fresh lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Tacos:
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp ground cayenne pepper
- ⅛ tsp garlic powder
- 1 - 1½ lbs tilapia fillets (or other white fish)
- cooking spray
- corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees
- Prepare crema by combine the 7 ingredients for the crema in a small bowl and set aside
- Combine cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, ground red pepper, salt, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Sprinkle spice mixture evenly over both sides of fish.
- Place fish on a baking sheet coated covered with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray (make sure GF). Bake at 425 for 9-10 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Remove fish from pan and break into pieces with a fork.
- If desired mix cabbage with some lime and cilantro.
- Serve fish with tortillas, cabbage, and crema.
