We were in California over Memorial day weekend visiting my borther and his family in Napa Valley. We had an awesome weekend! One of the restaurants we went to was Farmstead in St. Helena. It was amazing! We had just gotten done with a wine tasting and were ready for a late lunch so we decided to stop there. They did not have a dedicated gluten free menu but everything I read online indicated they were very accomodating, and they were. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave great recomendations. There were so many options and everything was absolutely delicious. I had the trout as my entree and it was amazing.
For dessert the only thing on the menu that was gluten free was the strawberry sorbet. At first I was a little dissapointed because I’m a chocolate dessert type of girl, but I had one bite and it won me over. It was so fresh and perfect to complete the meal.
We sat outside in the garden area whichI would recomend (even if it is hot, like it was for us). The menu is constantly changing to incorporate seasonal ingredients but you really can’t go wrong with anything.
