This is a super simple breakfast that only has a couple ingredients and only takes a couple minutes to make. A little salty and savory and if you cook it just right, the yolk is gooey and tastes deligthful as it soaks into the bread (just make sure to use gluten free bread!).
Egg in a Hole

Ingredients
- 1 Egg
- 1 slice of GF Bread
- 1 Tbsp butter
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Cut a hole in a slice of gluten free bread.
- Melt butter over medium/low heat. Place bread on pan in melted butter and crack egg into bread hole. Some egg may spill out on top of the bread. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for 2 minutes and then carefully flip egg & bread. Cook for anther two minutes and serve.
- I also like to toast the circle i cut out of the bread on the side of the pan in some of the butter.
